Issey Cross signs the Artist Pledge!
In a powerful display of solidarity, the acclaimed artist Issey Cross took to the iconic O2 arena to publicly sign the MVT Artist Pledge.
In a collaborative fundraiser between Warner Music, Music Venue Trust & Save Our Scene, the activity was to raise further awareness of the need to protect the UK grassroots music scene by ensuring that a portion of ticket sales from larger venues filters down to support smaller venues and emerging talent.
What is the Artist Pledge?
Music Venue Trust and SOS are asking artists to pledge that when they reach arena or stadium level, they will ask that £1 from every ticket goes to support grassroots music.
How to Sign the MVT Artist Pledge
Signing the pledge is simple. As an artist, musician, songwriter, or performer, you can sign up through our Story Highlights. By pledging your support, you're committing to a more equitable distribution of revenue within the industry, ensuring that grassroots venues and emerging talent receive the support they need to thrive.
Join the Movement
Over 700 acts have already signed the MVT Artist Pledge, demonstrating the growing momentum behind this initiative. By joining them, you can help protect the venues and communities that have nurtured countless talented artists. Let's work together to create a more sustainable future for the UK's live music scene.
Together, we can make a difference.
